| Spring is Coming! Operation Unity 7 |
With Spring in the air, let's remember to focus on working as a team to cut down on negative behaviors. We must have 100% team participation. If the students see a united front, they will be less likely to misbehave. For those students that cannot handle the rules and extra support that we are providing them, we will follow the consequences as outlined below. It is imperative that the entire team adheres to the plan and documents each step in the contact log. Please keep in mind that the discipline chart starts over at the beginning of each quarter. Students have a fresh start beginning March 20, 2018.
Tardiness -Tardy logs must be used by all teachers. DO NOT send students to look for passes. If they are late, admit them to class, have them sign the tardy log and follow the behavior flow chart above. We will conduct more tardy sweeps this semester to encourage them to move to class in a timely manner.
Hall sweeps - will follow the same discipline consequences as above. When a tardy sweep is called, I need the following people to perform the following duties.
- All teachers will close their doors
- Tatum will cover the stairwell by her room and guide students towards the 7th grade suite
- Hicks will come out and cover the stairwell across from her room and guide students towards the 7th grade suite
- Sanks will stand by the elevator and guide students towards the 7th grade suite
- Govan will cover her hallway and guide students towards the 7th grade suite
- Fife will cover the stairwell by her room and guide students towards the 7th grade suite
- Slaughter, Hutson and Officer Davis will move students towards the 7th grade office
- Mr. Hutson will maintain the spreadsheet of offenders
- Ms. Burns will assist in documenting and writing passes
- Ms. Burns will call parents to notify (3rd offense and above)
Lunch - Walk your students to lunch everyday. Check the table for cleanliness before the students leave. Walk students back to class. Please remind students of free sit Friday and let's work hard to help them earn it this Friday. #OperationUnity7
TKES - I will be conducting TKES observations this week. Please let me know if there is a particular lesson you would like me to see and I will try my best to come and observe you at the requested time.
Remediation - Remember to follow the remediation plan and work with your partner. Let me know if you have any questions.
