Week of April 16, 2018 - 10 Days to Milestones

Milestones - We have 10 days until Milestones. Keep feeding those minds with all the academic nourishment you can. I saw wonderful lessons last week and I hope to see more as I complete TKES observations.
  • April 30, 2018 - ELA Reading and Evidence-based Writing
  • May 1, 2018 - ELA
  • May 2, 2018 - Mathematics

TKES - I will be observing your classes this week and next week for TKES. If you have a particular lesson you want me to see, please feel free to let me know. I will do my best to accommodate you.

Lunch Schedule - Please make sure you adhere to the lunch, outside lunch and duty schedule. I know we were adjusting to our former schedule again. I need everyone to follow the scheduled times.
  • A Lunch is 11:15-11:45
  • B Lunch is 11:30-12:00
Tardies - Hall sweeps will increase to help reduce the number of students on the hallway. Do not send students out of class during the first 10 and last 10 minutes of each period. Always give hall passes. Admit late children to class and make them sign the tardy log. Do not tell students to leave and bring you a hall pass. That contributes to the amount of students on the hallway.

Consequences for tardies are as follows:
  1. Conference with student and document in IC.
  2. Conference with student, call parent and document in IC.
  3. Conference with student and assign detention through Mr. Hutson.
  4. Refer to Mr. Hutson for the 4th offense in a quarter (make sure the previous events are documented).
Thanks again - I truly loved the tokens of appreciation for AP Week and even more the thoughtfulness of this team. I went home with a smile on my face and warm thoughts of all of you. I cannot wait to return the favor. In the meanwhile, keep up the good work, be a unified front, and let me know if there are any issues that need to addressed immediately. Have a great week!

30  days to go!!!!!
